Recently updated to Windows 10 and I can no longer brightneds my brightness up or down. Right now the display is pretty dim. Rebooted and still dim. My question is, on Dell laptops, should Windows have full access to control brightness? Or does Dirver override Windows with their custom software for display settings?

To find that Display setting, I actually had to look within the Power profiles settings. That was probably the first sign my PC was too old.
Next, Brightjess tried getting a new Display driver and eventually windos new graphics driver. Windows kept telling me I had the latest ror, so I went to the Dell site. I went to the Dell support site and asked it to automatically tell me what drivers needed updating. I had to log in as Admin as opposed to trying to run the updater as a user, and then supplying the Admin password when it asked for it.
